The "right deal" is one where I'm pretty sure I can get all my books published, earn a reasonable return, and not tie up every future work to a contract where "first refusal" means I have to change universes in order to keep writing.
Rightly or wrongly, I've created a franchise and I need to pay attention to how the whole body of work can be effected by a contract that commits only to a single volume while encumbering all the rest.
I'm not in print or ebook because I haven't been offered a contract I can accept yet. Getting published is easy, actually. Getting the right deal is what takes the time.
There will be text versions available in 2010 -Stay tuned for news :)
