I use Audacity, and I record using a hand held device. On the hand held device, I cannot change the rate. It records in mono at 11025, and I am trying to convert it to 44100. However, when I do this--as you can guess--the speed ramps up and I sound like a chipmunk. Any ideas about how to convert rates without speeding up one's voice?
I actually second this.. I've done it before.. and the sound is worse than before. It still sounds like to was recorded on a phone, which in this case it was..
