So, I have listened to audiobooks, on tapes, CDs, and more lately, Audible.com for years. (Audible was less expensive, and easy to download...) Great for road trips, and the like. But when the podcasters came by, it was a whole new world, much more vibrant, more accessible. Audio books are expensive and generally I bought what I knew was good, or was recommended, or I had already read and liked. So, it tended to be a rather small group. Too expensive to just "try" a new book. With podcast stories, the ability to sample all, take tastes, get immersed.. is really wonderful and satisfying. I can't listen to it all. I DO try! But, what a pleasure to be part of this, see it evolve... exciting. Thanks to everyone for this! And now, of course, I am ruminating on making my own 'cast...
